Table Runner 1st Paper Pieced Project Port St Lucie

You just learned how to paper piece and want to try out your new skill? Or learned to paper pieced a few years ago but never got around to making anything with it? This class is just right for you! It will consist of (5) sessions and a “pre-class” session. The pre class session will help you in picking out your fabrics and getting organized the Judy Niemeyer way. The first full sewing session will begin with an explanation of cutting the pattern and fabric out
correctly and then starting to do the paper piecing. Those that need a little assistance with paper piecing, like the flying geese, etc. will receive help from the instructor in getting started.



Prerequisites: Beginners Paper Piecing class or “strong” working knowledge of paper piecing.
Note: Pre-class is a one-on- one session with the instructor to help with fabric selection, etc.,
about 2 hours long, usually 1 week before the session #1 and no sewing machine is needed…
But this class is not for total beginners to paper piecing. You must have a working knowledge of paper piecing or have taken the beginners class taught by Carl. The later sewing sessions
will include, putting the sections together, how make perfect centers when putting those sections together, quilting the top (possibly with clear thread?), and then doing an “inside
miter” corner on the binding. Student will be able to make one of (2) different table runner patterns…Seasonal Celebrations or Prism Table Runner

This will be 5 classes total.
